As of December 1st, Community Builders will be operating the 95-unit Gastown Hotel at 112 Water Street. We are thrilled to add another supportive housing site to our portfolio, and we're busy at work ensuring a smooth transition for residents at Gastown.

We know from past experience that taking over a site is a complex and delicate process. It's also a unique opportunity to solve systemic issues and implement policies and procedures that lead to positive change and remediation in the health and well-being of residents, staff and the physical environment.

Over these the next few months, we'll be working hard to earn the trust of residents by inviting and welcoming dialogue, so that we can get a better understanding of their needs. We look forward to creating that friendly and respectful culture Community Builders is known for.
